Vera Neumann Yellow White Peach Squares And Polka Dot 1950 Silk Scarf - Item#VS 214-TAS

Fabulous original Vera scarf made from World War II parachute silk in her New York facility. Scarf features medium to large polka dots and squares throughout in shades of yellow and peach on a white background.

This vintage Vera scarf is large in size measuring approximately 32" square and features a hand rolled hem in peach. Scarf also still contains its original contents tag which reads "scarves by Vera - pure silk - designed and hand screened in USA."

Scarf is in excellent condition for its age as it has no rips, tears or stains, it only has a couple of very small dents in the fabric, single tiny thread pull of about 1" in length and a couple tiny pins holes. None of these flaws are large enough to be noticed when wearing and will only be evident if you hold the scarf up to a bright light and begin looking for flaws. Considering it is more than 60 years old this scarf is in excellent conditon and demonstrates the fabulous durability of silk.

These original Vera scarves made from the World War II parachute silk become more and more rare with each passing year as the ones that do come to market are quickly purchased by collectors and avid Vera fans.
